CENTURIA I · QUATRAIN XV
The Blood of Mars
Mars nous menace par la force bellique,
Septante fois fera le sang espandre:
Auge & ruine de l'Ecclesiastique,
Et plus ceux qui d'eux rien voudront entendre.
Mars threatens us with warlike force,
seventy times shall the blood be spilled:
rise and ruin of the Ecclesiastic,
and more those who will hear nothing of them.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain concerns the fact that armed conflicts of various kinds always occur, especially in the twentieth century. Various posts and positions that were respected in the past — recognized orthodox religions, for example — will no longer have the force and respect they once had, because of their own abuse of power. The number 70 concerns armed conflicts that constantly occur. You could link this to a specific number of a certain type of armed conflict, but only after the century has ended.
