CENTURIA I · QUATRAIN XVII
The Vanished Rainbow
Par quarante ans l'Iris n'apparoistra,
Par quarante ans tous les jours sera veu:
La terre aride en siccitu00e9 croistra,
Et grans deluges quand sera apercue.
For forty years the rainbow shall not appear,
for forty years it shall be seen every day:
the arid earth shall grow ever drier,
and great floods when it is perceived again.
THE MASTER SAYS…
Nostradamus says that this quatrain is connected with the problems that the Earth will face in the future. However, they are not connected with the coming to power of the Antichrist. In the distant future, due to changes in atmospheric parameters on Earth, for 40 years no cases of observing a rainbow will indeed be recorded. Following this, a terrible drought will come, and people, in order to survive, will be forced to obtain water by melting huge masses of ice in the Arctic and Antarctic. The method of desalinating seawater will also become widespread. The vast majority of the water produced by these methods will go to irrigating agricultural fields and private farmlands. Then, as a result of numerous attempts to balance the planet’s water resources, the scales of nature will tip in the opposite direction, and prolonged torrential rains will cause floods unprecedented in the past. This time the natural cataclysm will be accompanied by an unusually frequent appearance of rainbows. Forty years in this case is a conditional figure, and here large astrological cycles should be used as a time factor. The main information contained in the quatrain is that as a result of the thoughtless use of the planet’s resources, at a certain stage of its development humanity will inevitably face problems of climate imbalance on Earth, which will cause the fourth ice age and the final decline of earthly civilization. Nostradamus says that a general cyclic law of nature can be traced in this fact, and this will repeat many more times. Nostradamus says that 40 years is the minimum. When he has to look into such a distant future, it is practically impossible to predict exactly when this will happen, but the main cycles can still be foreseen. For example, the fourth ice age, by his calculations, will begin in 4,000 years, and the same amount of time will be needed for global warming to begin. They are also called millennial cycles. He says that the shift of the Earth’s axis of rotation will also contribute to the formation of a new ice age on Earth. By that time people will have developed technology that will force them to constantly walk along the edge of an abyss, thereby endangering the existing balance in the planet’s ecosystem. The fact is that even insignificant shifts in the Earth’s rotational parameters can become a trigger for irreversible climate changes. Nostradamus says that this is a natural cycle, and it cannot be changed, because earthly civilization has already passed through these natural cataclysms several times. He says that this is not quite so. The picture would be different if there were a way to somehow preserve the information accumulated by civilization. However, at the critical moment people think more about physical survival than about preserving the matrix of knowledge of all humanity. Nostradamus says that such a possibility exists, although in time these two events are separated by a considerable distance.
