CENTURIA IV · QUATRAIN VII

The Sick Death

Le mineur filz du grand & hai Prince,

De lepre aura a vingt ans grande tache,

De deuil sa mere mourra bien triste & mince,

Et il mourra la ou tombe chair lache.

The younger son of the great and hated Prince,

of leprosy will have at twenty a great stain,

with grief his mother will die sad and wasted,

and he will die where flaccid flesh falls.

THE MASTER SAYS…

This quatrain touches on a president in our near future. His son will die of AIDS. This will happen in the late 1980s — mid-1990s. AIDS will be like the Black Plague of his days. One of the sons of our elected president, who will not yet be twenty, will die of this disease. He shows me wounds on this man’s body that are crimson, as with plague, and says that this is how his flesh will decompose. He scratches his head and says: “Black death,” or as we call it “Mort de Mai,” or “Sick Death,” worse than that, because it is very painful. But it is also an epidemic.” Did he call it leprosy because he could only compare it with that? Yes, because that is how it looks. He could only interpret this disease in his time in this way. Will this happen in the near future? Very soon. He asks: “You live in the middle of the twentieth century, do you not?” I answered: “Yes.” We are already approaching the end of the twentieth century. “Spirits from the 23rd century also come to me,” he said. It turns out that interest in Nostradamus’s quatrains will not diminish if people are still questioning him three hundred years after us. Here it says: “The younger son of the great and hated prince.” It seems that this president will not be very popular. Can he explain why he used this word? Humanity has always hated its rulers. That is what he said. Even the most outstanding leader was persecuted and crucified. He definitely pointed to Jesus.
