CENTURIA IV · QUATRAIN XLIII
The Plundered Library
Seront ouis au ciel les armes battre:
Celui an mesme les divins ennemis:
Voudront loix sainctes injustement debatre,
Par foudre & guerre bien croyans a mort mis.
Heard in the heavens shall be the clashing of arms:
In that same year the divine enemies:
Will wish the holy laws unjustly to contest,
By lightning and war the true believers put to death.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain relates to troubled times. In particular, it describes some aspects concerning the plundering of the Vatican Library. He says that the “one who disputes the holy law” is the Antichrist, who declares that these printed materials should not exist. As a consequence, many people will try to defend the church and will die in the struggle. The faith of many others will change radically or die because of the newly discovered material. One of the tactical methods of a special kind of psychological warfare organized by the Antichrist will be the destruction of cultural relics and monuments in Rome and other cities. With the help of the last Pope, who will be a tool in the hands of the Antichrist, he will gain access to the secret archives of the Vatican Library. Instead of destroying this material, he will reveal it to the world, considering that this will inflict greater damage on the church than simply getting rid of these texts. The enemies participating in the events will not know everything that is really there. They will fight for the Antichrist and believe that they are doing it for the good of the Prophet Mohammed. In addition, the phrase “divine enemies” indicates that this situation is pointed to in one of the prophetic books of the Bible. He says it is not quite in the Apocalypse. He does not dare to identify the Apocalypse, because that prophet’s vision described the end of the world. But Nostradamus’s vision is not so apocalyptic, because he sees the continuation of life. Therefore he says that although he understands the symbolism, he is not sure whether he sees the same era as the other prophet.
