CENTURIA IV · QUATRAIN XCIX

The Prince’s Thunderbolts

L'aisne vaillant de la fille du Roy,

Repoussera si profond les Celtiques:

Qu'il mettra foudres, combien en tel arroi,

Peu & loing puis profond es Hesperiques.

The valiant eldest son of the King's daughter,

will push back so far the Celtic peoples:

that he will set thunderbolts, how many in such array,

few and far, then deep in the Hesperian lands.

THE MASTER SAYS…

This has not yet happened. This quatrain concerns the way in which the problem of Ireland will be solved. He says that the island of Eire, the Irish country, has a deep division, and this has been so for centuries. The problem will be resolved thanks to a prince. He cannot clarify whether he points to Prince Charles or to one of his sons. But one of them will play a major role in establishing peace in Ireland. This man will find the levers with which he can solve the problem, exacerbating it in such a way that the Irish will have to choose between complete collapse and peace. At first the threat of complete destruction will seem inevitable, very real and very close. But when they take on their problems and put forward real solutions, the threat of collapse will recede. It is like the rumbling of a thunderstorm on the horizon. The Irish people will unite again and will not be divided as they are in the modern British Empire. By “lightning strikes” he meant missiles. This is one of the threats the prince will use. He will not carry it out, but will use it as a lever. The Celts originally lived on the British island in Scotland, Wales and England. The Romans and Anglo-Saxons drove them eastward along the sea into Ireland, where they became part of the Irish people.
