CENTURIA V · QUATRAIN VIII
The Living Fire

Dedans les globes horrible espouvantable,
De nuict a classe cite en poudre lasche,
La cite a feu, l'ennemi favorable.
There will be let loose the living fire, death hidden,
inside the globes, horrible, dreadful,
by night from the fleet the city loosened to powder,
the city on fire, the enemy favorable.
THE MASTER SAYS…
In this quatrain, two plots of World War II are encoded and intertwined. The unquenchable fire refers to the force of radiation damage from the atomic bombs dropped on Japan. They burned like flame, but the victim did not die immediately, as with ordinary fire, but gradually, in agonizing torment. The second part of the quatrain is connected with the prediction of another event. It is dedicated to the bombing of London by German aircraft. During the raids, the city’s lights were cut off, and then Germany used incendiary bombs, the mechanism of which consisted in the release of a combustible mixture that automatically ignited, illuminating the area where ordinary bombs were then dropped. This method of night bombing allowed Hitler’s aviation to turn the capital of England into continuous ruins.
