CENTURIA VIII · QUATRAIN LXXVII
The Twenty-Seven Years
L'antechrist trois bien tost annichilez,
Vingt & sept ans sang durera sa guerre,
Les heretiques morts, captifs exilez,
Son corps humain eau rougie gresler terre.
The Antichrist shall soon annihilate the three,
twenty-seven years his war of blood shall last,
the heretics dead, the captives exiled,
his human body, water reddened, hail lashing the earth.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that the Antichrist’s coming to power will be accompanied by terrible wars and mass bloodshed. To the surprise of many, he will not use the atomic bombs in his arsenals, but will conquer the whole world using traditional military weapons. Later the Antichrist will also use nuclear weapons, but for other purposes, about which Nostradamus is not at liberty to speak. The number of corpses will be so great that the surviving people will eventually get used to the sight of mass graves, and they will gradually lose their feeling of squeamishness toward a dead or mutilated human body. Nostradamus says that this will be a global war with catastrophic consequences for the entire planet.
