At the time when a King will be against his own,
a native of Blois will subdue the Ligurians,
Mammel, Corduba and the Dalmatians,

Brenda said: “He says that this quatrain relates to the rise to power of Adolf Hitler. He says that the new money refers to Hitler’s plan to pay off Germany’s debts. He began printing more paper money without economic backing for it. The ‘old ghosts’ refer to the old leaders of the Weimar Republic who wanted to overthrow Hitler. He says that this refers to the advisers of Hitler’s predecessor. Hitler betrayed his predecessor in the election process, so he came to power through betrayal. He says that he has not laughed yet. He said that this is not entirely unreasonable, but they are not broad enough in their views.”
