CENTURIA XII · QUATRAIN LII

Two Bodies, One Head

Deux corps un chef, champs divisez en deux,

Et puis respondre a quatre ouys,

Petits pour grands, a pertuis mal pour eux,

Tour du2019Aigues foudre, pire pour Euffovis.

Two bodies, one head, fields divided in two,

and then to answer to four heard ones,

small ones for great, through the breach evil for them,

lightning on the tower of Aigues, worse for Euffovis.

THE MASTER SAYS…

He says that this quatrain relates to the Protestant Reformation and to how various countries and churches began to separate from Rome. One head is God or Christ, and two bodies are Catholics and Protestants. He says that it also relates to the war that took place between Protestants and Catholics. And he says that the war and disputes between them, regardless of where they occur, are mostly useless. They divide from within. He says that such internal weakening — especially given that it has continued for several centuries — will make it easier for the Antichrist to achieve his goals. He says that the four unheard are, as you may guess, people who acted behind the scenes and played an important role in the development of the Protestant Reformation. He says that these are anagrams of old references from the New Testament. They relate to the type of Greek used in prophecies about the last days, and — although Christ is the head of the church — to how the church divided into several parts.
