CENTURIA X · QUATRAIN IX
Born on a Misty Day
De Castillon figuieres jour de brune,
De femme infame naistra souverain prince:
Surnom de chausses perhume lui posthume,
Onc Roi ne fut si pire en sa province.
At the castle of Figuieres on a misty day,
of an infamous woman will be born a sovereign prince:
the surname of Chausses on the ground will make him posthumous,
never was a King so bad in his province.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that this quatrain relates to the birth of the Antichrist. He says that most of this quatrain is basically simple. “Unworthy woman” refers, firstly, to the fact that his mother was a commoner, not a royal person. And, secondly, to the fact that this happens in a country where women are considered property. He says that the other lines relate to politics in the country where he was born. The last line actually refers to how terrible he will be for the world as a whole. “In the castle of Figueras on a misty day a supreme prince will be born”? He says that this is an anagram. The birthplace of the Antichrist is somewhere in the Middle East — the so-called Middle East. Names and place names are anagrams of the city where he will be born, as well as anagrams of the political situation. This is not a real castle. He says that many cities are fortified cities, and so this image will arise in his mind, because the old city will be surrounded by walls. Then “the surname Chausse”? This refers to a clan that is strong in this country. This will be a clan with which he will be in alliance. Since he is of common origin, he does not belong to any particular clan, but this clan will claim him. Is this also an anagram? Yes. “On the earth” refers to his common roots. And “will make him posthumous” refers to the fact that they will claim him later. I would like to know details, because I consider this an important quatrain. We have many facts about the Antichrist, and we would like more clues if possible. So now we have another piece of the puzzle. In their translation they came close. One of the translators suggested that this might describe one of Nostradamus’s Antichrists, but was not sure which one.
