CENTURIA XII · QUATRAIN V
The Fires of Indochina
Feu, flamme, faim, furt, farouche, fumee,
Fera faillir, froissant fort, foy faucher,
Fils de Deite! Toute Provence humee,
Chasse de Regne, enrage sans crocher.
Fire, flame, famine, theft, fierce smoke,
will bring failure, bruising hard, scything the faith,
Son of God! All Provence sucked dry,
driven from the Realm, raging without check.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that this quatrain relates to what later became known as the Korean War and the Vietnam War, when the French colonial empire was split and taken from France as a result of war and revolution. He says that he is familiar with Provence in France, but remember that he speaks symbolically. He says that Provence is also a word, in a modified form, used to designate remote rural areas. And he said that this part of the world had not yet been mapped in his time, at least by Europeans, so he had no place names. He means Southeast Asia, Indochina.
