The Half-Cooked Fish
Pour la chaleur solaire sur la mer
De Negrepont les poissons demi cuits:
Les habitants les viendront entamer,
Quand Rhodes & Gennes leur faudra le biscuit.
For the solar heat upon the sea
of Negrepont, the fishes half cooked:
the inhabitants will come to carve them,
when Rhodes & Genoa shall lack their biscuit.
THE MASTER SAYS…
Nostradamus says that in the future we will have to deal with an unusual and very destructive type of weapon. One of the leaders of a country in the Middle East will manage to obtain, in modern terms, atomic weapons. Using figurative images, Nostradamus showed me some long gray object and then a photograph of the mushroom-shaped cloud characteristic of a nuclear explosion. In one of the countries of this region, a half-mad fanatic will come to power, who will inflame unnecessary political passions and will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons as soon as a convenient opportunity arises. The atomic bomb will be struck against a country located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. One of the bombs, flying past the target, will explode in the sea, causing radioactive contamination of the water and making seafood unfit for consumption. As a result of the release of a colossal amount of energy, significant heating of the water in the ocean will occur, which will lead to the death of many representatives of marine flora and fauna. Constant disruptions in maritime transport, in turn, will lead to food shortages. Despite the ban, people on the opposite shore of the sea from this country will begin to eat contaminated fish. The word “Negrepont” is a characteristic name of the place where the epicenter of the explosion will be located. Nostradamus is sure that it is located in the easternmost part of the Mediterranean Sea. A distinctive feature of this area will be dark rocks, so the locals will call this place “Negrepont,” which means “Black Cape.”
