CENTURIA II · QUATRAIN XLII
The Tyrant Found Dead
Coq, chiens & chats de sang seront repeus,
Et de la playe du tyran trouve mort:
Au lict d'un autre jambes & bras rompus,
Qui n'avait peur de mourir de cruelle mort.
Cock, dogs and cats will be sated with blood,
and from the wound the tyrant found dead:
in the bed of another, legs and arms broken,
he who was not afraid to die a cruel death.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain concerns several different situations. On the one hand, it relates to the current situation in Nicaragua. The phrase “roosters, cats and dogs will be sated with blood” speaks of how various forces will fight and squabble. The quatrain indicates that foreign forces are supplying guerrilla units. It also shows that these units fight in the mountains. Roosters represent foreign forces, especially France. Cats refer to guerrilla forces and how they hide and prowl in the bushes. They suddenly appear and fight, then disappear again. Dogs represent soldiers and how they push forward, trying to hold everything under control by force. France is involved, engaged in secret machinations. The quatrain refers to a leader who will begin to gain popularity in Nicaragua and then be killed. It will be believed that the leader has democratic, pro-Western and pro-American tendencies. After he is killed and some secret documents surface, it will be learned that the leader was in fact pro-Soviet, that is, he is in bed with another. This is a warning to the leaders involved in this situation, especially the leaders of Nicaragua and neighboring countries. If they are not careful, they will be overthrown by a military coup. It is also a warning to the leaders of higher powers. The United States, the Soviet Union and its satellites, especially Cuba, are involved. Japan is also involved. The Soviet Union uses countries of its camp — Bulgaria, Albania and others. “The Soviets have started a big wash”: they launder illegal aid through other countries.
