CENTURIA II · QUATRAIN LXIV
The Bankers of Geneva
Seicher de faim, de soif gent Genevoise,
Espoir prochain viendra au defaillir:
Sur point tremblant sera loi Gebenoise,
Classe au grand port ne se peut acuillir.
Drying of hunger, of thirst the people of Geneva,
the near hope will come to fail:
on a trembling point will be the law of Gebenna,
the fleet at the great port cannot be received.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain points to the fact that in the world as a whole, as the political situation becomes more and more tangled, less successful diplomats will gather at their Geneva conference. Switzerland, as is known, takes a position of neutrality and is also a financial and banking center. During these troubles and conflicts in the world, diplomatic forces have been exhausted, so diplomats cannot move toward constructive discussions between world leaders. In addition, due to upheavals in the world, the world economy will be somewhat shaken. The bankers of Geneva will feel that their resources and power are running out, because they cannot be as effective as before. Sebenna is an anagram of the name of the man who developed the basic economic structure on which your current economy is based. And it still has flaws. This situation will reach its critical point in such a way that everything will collapse, and a new economic and banking system will have to be built. But even in that case it will be only a temporary solution. After the Antichrist is suppressed and the Great Genius comes, this problem will be solved once and for all, because the ways of accomplishing tasks in the world will be fundamentally different from what is happening now. Perhaps this refers to John Maynard Keynes, the economist who is recognized as having influenced our modern way of life.
