The Great Shell
Pau, Verone, Vicence, Sarragousse,
De glaives loings terroirs de sang humides:
Peste si grande viendra a la grand gousse,
Proche secours, bien loing les remedes.
Pau, Verona, Vicenza, Saragossa,
far-off lands of swords, humid with blood:
so great a plague will come upon the great shell,
help near, the remedies very far away.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that this quatrain refers to the First and Second World Wars. The names listed above refer to key battle sites. The cause of these wars was a political tangle that the interested parties failed to unravel. Nostradamus says: if there had been no First World War, there would have been no Second. The terrible disaster released from under the shell is symbolized by the atomic bombs dropped on Japan. There were practically no medicines in Japan to alleviate the suffering of people affected by radiation sickness, and later the necessary help arrived from distant America.
