CENTURIA III · QUATRAIN XCIII
The Empty City
Dans Avignon tout le Chef de l'empire
Fera arrest pour Paris desole:
Tricast tiendra l'Annibalique ire,
Lyon par change sera mel console.
In Avignon all the Head of the empire
will make stop, for Paris desolate:
Tricast will hold the Hannibalic ire,
Lyon by change will be ill consoled.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that this quatrain relates to two things. It has to do with Nazism and the seizure of France, and with how the lion, which represents London, England, will face a number of problems at this time. The quatrain also concerns the problems that the Antichrist will create — he uses the word “destroyer” when he passes through the southern regions of France near Avignon. Avignon was a very important city in his time, because a couple of centuries earlier the residence of the Pope was there. At that time it was a very important city, although in your time it is no longer so important. This quatrain points to the route that the Antichrist followed through the south of France. Paris will be emptied because he will threaten bombing, just as he bombed Rome and Athens. He will camp near the place where Avignon is now, and England will be able to do nothing, because it is the next object on the Antichrist’s list. Paris will also be emptied during World War II. All this will happen during his reign of terror, as he calls it.
