CENTURIA III · QUATRAIN XCVIII
The Brothers’ War
Deux royaux freres si fort guerroieront,
Qu'entre eux sera la guerre si mortelle:
Qu'un chacun places fortes occuperont,
De regne & vie sera leur grand querelle.
Two royal brothers will war so fiercely,
that between them the war will be so deadly:
that each will occupy fortified places,
over throne and life will be their great quarrel.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain relates to many rulers throughout history, but we will witness similar relations between the sons of Prince Charles in England. Does he mean that problems will arise between the two sons? There is already sibling rivalry. This problem has already arisen, and they are still just children. So this quatrain predicts future events, but some have already happened. This has happened many times in different countries — in Russia and England in the first half of the twentieth century. He says that it personifies the unrest that occurred in his time and will still occur until a new world order is established.
