The Gascon Fields
D'Arras & Bourges, de Brodes grans enseignes,
Un plus grand nombre de Gascons batre a pied,
Ceux long du Rosne saigneront les Espaignes:
Proche du mont ou Sagonte s'assied.
From Arras and Bourges, of Brodes great banners,
a far greater number of Gascons fighting on foot,
those along the Rhone will make Spain bleed:
near the mount where Sagonte sits.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain relates to the time of troubles and to how the Antichrist will seize most of France, but not Paris. He will conquer most of the southern provinces of France and will try to penetrate into Italy, as well as into Spain. By that time he will already have blown up Rome and will concentrate on this part of France because it is a very rich agricultural region. It is here that all our magnificent food products are produced. He shows me truffles, geese and similar things. He says that this will be a very important time. I assume that the Dark Ones are representatives of the forces of the Antichrist, but here it says: “a great multitude of Gascons fight on foot.” Who are the Gascons? Gascony was at that time a province of France, so the Gascons symbolize free Frenchmen, because they are from the north.
