CENTURIA IV · QUATRAIN LVI
The Roasted Tongue
Apres victoire du babieuse langue,
L'esprit tempte en tranquil & repos:
Victeur sanguin par conflict faict harangue,
Roustir la langue & la chair & les os.
After the victory of the babbling tongue,
The spirit tempted into quiet and rest:
The bloodied victor by conflict makes his harangue,
Roasting the tongue and the flesh and the bones.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain predicts the events of Watergate. The heating of the tongue refers to the sharp accusations that were exchanged (by the parties) in that situation. Another time he will explain this to you in more detail. If you remember the Watergate situation, many statements could have been, at least in part, fabricated — so wild were the accusations flying at each other, and similar things happened.
