The Misty Forest
L'oeuvre ancienne se parachevera,
Du toict cherra sur le grand mal ruine:

The ancient work will be brought to completion,
from the roof will fall upon the great one the evil ruin:
the innocent, made dead, will be accused:
the guilty one hidden in the thicket in the drizzle.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that the completion of the ancient work refers to the creation of Israel as a state. The great evil falling from the roof and destroying the great man refers to the assassination of a world leader in the Middle East. “The guilty one hiding in the misty forest.” He says that he does not mean literally a misty forest, but the murkiness of politics. The guilty one will be able to hide and avoid punishment for the deed, because he knows how to manipulate politics. Will this assassination be in our future? He thinks so. Although Anwar Sadat was killed, he says that the leader mentioned in this quatrain is closer to Israeli politics. ADDED: When the book was being prepared for the third reprint, this quatrain was fulfilled. On November 4, 1995, Yitzhak Rabin, Prime Minister of Israel, was assassinated. Although one person confessed to the deed, it was indicated that a political group bears responsibility for the assassination. Nostradamus indicated that an influential group of very wealthy Arabs connected with the evil imam was responsible for the assassination of Anwar Sadat in Egypt. One can safely assume that this group is also behind this assassination, since the quatrain indicates that the real culprits will be hidden. Throughout all three volumes, Nostradamus predicted the rise of terrorism in the 1990s. He said that during the “Time of Troubles” (the decade of the 1990s), assassinations of world leaders would become so frequent that the world would cease to be alarmed and would accept it as a common occurrence. This would be an ideal way to demoralize the population of various countries. In Chapter 21, Nostradamus states that Rajiv Gandhi, the leader of India, was killed in May 1991 because he could no longer be controlled. In June 1994, when I was filming for the television program “Encounters,” new predictions were recorded that are not included in my books. One of them concerned the death of the President of North Korea. This prediction came true a few weeks after filming. It was reported to be a heart attack, but Nostradamus indicated that it was in fact an assassination. He was becoming a threat because of the nuclear weapons issue. He was replaced by his son, who knew nothing about governing the state and therefore would be an excellent puppet for manipulation by the group.
