CENTURIA VIII · QUATRAIN XLV
The Wounded Pope
La main escharpe & la jambe bandes,
Longs puis nay de Calais portera,
Au mot du guet la mort sera tardee,
Puis dans le temple a Pasques saignera.
The hand in a sling and the leg bandaged,
long after, the young one of Calais will bear,
at the word of the watch death will be delayed,
then in the temple at Easter he will bleed.
THE MASTER SAYS…
It seems there is a religious subtext here. I think this is an event from the future, and it is connected with the future pope. He has been given a difficult task. Through valiant efforts he makes a name for himself. However, his reign does not last long. I have mixed feelings. I feel that it is an assassination attempt, but at the same time I know that an attempt on this man has already been made. Well, that he was shot at. I think he will be traveling. He will not be in the Vatican when he dies. I see crowds of people. That is all I see. This pope who will come to power will have his hands tied in the sense that he will be entrusted with a very difficult task, and the church will be divided. And he will achieve much because his message will be heard. Yes. I have the impression that he will also survive one assassination attempt. And then he too will be killed. I see that he will die in the Vatican.
