CENTURIA VIII · QUATRAIN LXX
The Adulteress of Liberty
Il entrera vilain, mechant, infame,
Tyrannisant la Mesopotamie,
Tous amis fait d'adulterine d'ame,
Terre horrible, noir de phisonomie.
He shall enter vile, wicked, infamous,
tyrannizing Mesopotamia,
all the friends acquired by the adulteress of soul,
a land horrible, black of countenance.
THE MASTER SAYS…
I see what you probably don’t want to hear. So, where is Mesopotamia? Oh, that’s an old name. It no longer exists. It was somewhere in Asia, in the Fertile Crescent. Later I learned that Mesopotamia is the ancient name of Iraq. Something is wrong with this quatrain. Well, the tyrant will be our current president, George Bush, and the lady is the Statue of Liberty. The country will be the United States. But she is called an “adulteress.” Well, she has been a bit promiscuous in her years. She was once a champion of freedom, but freedom is a word, like Mesopotamia. It is a long-gone word. “He will enter evil, unpleasant, dishonest, tyrannizing Mesopotamia.” Does this refer to Bush? But it says: “All the friends the adulteress acquired.” Our allies. Then “adulteress” in this context means she will not be faithful to them. She is not faithful to anyone in our time. “The land is terrible and black in appearance.” It doesn’t sound very good, does it? I told you, you wouldn’t want to hear this, Dolores. Most of the world’s troubles are connected with this country and this administration. This administration has just begun its work (1989), but it came after another of which it was a part. Ask him; couldn’t this description also apply to other countries in the past? It could, but that would be before the time of Nostradamus. After all that has happened, this quatrain seems to relate quite precisely to US involvement in Iraq.
