CENTURIA IX · QUATRAIN XXXI
The Mortara Fault
Le tremblement de terre a Mortara,
Cassich saint George u00e0 demy parfondre,
Paix assoupie, la guerre esveillera,
Dans temple u00e0 Pasques abismes en fondre.
The earthquake at Mortara,
the island of Saint George half submerged,
peace lulled asleep, the war shall awaken,
in the temple at Easter abysses collapsing.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that after a relatively calm period, “…intoxicated with peace…” the Earth will experience terrible natural cataclysms in the form of the strongest earthquakes. As a result of tremors of indescribable force, the earth’s crust will be damaged, and in some places it will crack, exposing the planet’s mantle. A huge amount of molten lava will pour onto the surface of the earth, incinerating and burning everything in its path. Within minutes, the earthquake will split England into two parts, one of which, together with some British islands, will be under water (“…the island of St. George half in water…”). Food supplies will run out, and the most severe famine will give rise to a surge of cruelty and aggression in people. The same fate will befall India and China. These two countries, joining forces, will try to attack Russia, which, thanks to its vast territory, will suffer least of all, having in reserve a sufficient amount of food and large untouched fields of corn and wheat. Nostradamus says that the word “Mortara” is an anagram, and it hides the name of the most dangerous fault in the earth’s crust. It does not exist now, but it will appear in the near future and will prove critical in generating powerful earthquakes. The phrase “…the abyss will open before the church at Easter” is an allegory. It indicates that many believers, faced with such terrible deprivations, will cease to believe in God. Following this, the foundations of the church and religion will collapse, and Christianity will be buried under its own ruins.
