CENTURIA IX · QUATRAIN LXIX
Hail and Locusts
Sur le mont de Bailly & la Bresle
Seront caichez de Grenoble les fiers,
Oultre Lyon, Vien, eulx si grande gresle,
Langoult en terre n'en restera un tiers.
On the mount of Bailly and the Bresle
the proud ones of Grenoble shall be hidden,
beyond Lyon, Vien, upon them so great a hail,
locusts on the earth, not a third of it shall remain.
THE MASTER SAYS…
This quatrain describes the side effects of the war that the Antichrist waged on the European continent. People will hide in dungeons or mountain tunnels to escape the deadly destruction that will fall from the skies. On the surface of the earth there will be great destruction and epidemics, as described in the quatrain. He says that it is precisely at this time that people will become cannibals, because they will not be able to obtain wheat, which will still grow in abundance on the American continent. They say that one of the words — “langoult” — means “locust” in old French, but in modern language it means “lobster.” He says that “locust” is the correct translation. It is natural that over the centuries things change.
