The Diseased Sea
De l'Ambraxie & du pays de Thrace,
Peuple par mer mal & secours Gaulois,
Perpetuelle en Provence la trace,
Avec vestiges de leur coustume & loix.
From Ambracia and the land of Thrace,
a people by sea, harm and succor for the Gauls,
perpetual in Provence the trace,
with the vestiges of their customs and laws.
THE MASTER SAYS…
He says that this quatrain relates to the period after the victory over the Antichrist, when Europe tries to recover. In particular, he speaks of how people of different nationalities and origins will work together to help recovery. He says that “disease by sea” refers to two things: first, to the fact that the Antichrist came by sea, and, so to speak, the disease came by sea. Secondly, because of the type of war the Antichrist waged, part of the land and ocean will be poisoned by his weapons, and this will destroy many fish and other marine inhabitants. And this will happen later, when they try to restore and rebuild their civilization? Restore, yes. And that is exactly what it says: “traces and remnants of their customs and laws.”
