He says that this prophecy describes a period of war, or rather its final stage, when Saturn will be late again. The quatrain has a double meaning. On the other hand, it provides information about a new technology used in this war, which will become possible thanks to the rapid development of science and technology. In the pursuit of military advantage, the opposing sides will cause a global catastrophe caused by the reckless use of the fruits of scientific research, when energy of monstrous force gets out of human control. This is the eye pecked out by the hawk’s beak. The words Narbonne and Brodde are tied to the nation and place where this will happen. Initially, the details of this event were transmitted to Nostradamus in encrypted form, and only later did he put them into anagrams.
As for the time: this will happen in the distant future, but the foundation for such a war has already been laid. Scientists continue to work on secret projects, and some time will pass before they cross a dangerous threshold in their research.
