CENTURIA VI · QUATRAIN LXX

The Ferryman Chyren

Au chef du monde le grand Chyren sera,

Plus oultre ayres aime, craint, redoubte:

Son bruit & loz les cieux surpassera,

Et du seul titre victeur fort contente.

At the head of the world the great Chyren will be,

Loved, feared, dreaded far more than before:

His fame and praise will surpass the heavens,

And with the lone title of victor, greatly content.

THE MASTER SAYS…

Brenda said: “He says that this quatrain relates to Napoleon. He says that Chyren can also be borrowed from Greek mythology and used symbolically. He is the gatekeeper who leads through the River Styx into the underworld of the dead. Therefore sometimes, when he speaks of Chyren, as in this quatrain, he means death, wars and bloodshed. And the one who will be content with only the title of victor means Napoleon. He says that in several quatrains there is a significant overlap between two periods of history. Remember that history develops in a spiral.”
